**HEALTH AND SAFETY AND MENTAL HEALTH/FIRST AID SUPPORT OFFICER**

**PERMANENT POST**

Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week 8.30 am - 3.30 pm.

39 weeks per year. 38 weeks term time, plus 1 week of inset/holiday working.

Salary Grade PCD7 : £20,821 to £ 21,507 actual pay (£14.36 - £14.84 per hour).

Annual full time equivalent salary £27,711 - £28,624.

Required to commence as soon as possible.

UVHS is seeking to appoint a Health and Safety and Mental Health/First Aid Support Officer person to assist the Health and Safety Officer in creating and maintaining a productive health and safety working environment. The ability to administer first aid to students on an on-call basis during the school day is an essential part of this role, as is the ability to accurately record and report injuries, to oversee secure safe storage of student medicines and the management of stock supplies and health and safety systems. The also role encompasses student mental health first aid, to provide initial support to students experiencing mental health challenges.
