Primaflow F&P Wholesale have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our fast paced business and friendly team, where we work hard to simply deliver more for our customers and colleagues.

**The role we're recruiting for**:
You will supervise the team of drivers within a fast pace next day delivery transhipment point, driving health and safety and excellence through our service offering for our customers

**You will**:

- Checking and reviewing health and safety and transport compliance at the site, proactively developing Stay Safe improvements and culture.
- Planning and reviewing delivery routes to maximise vehicle utilisation and fuel efficiency.
- Responding to changes in resource requirements.
- Coaching and giving feedback to drivers to ensure compliance with current legislation and dealing with infringements promptly.
- Ensure that vehicles are inspected and maintained as per the company requirements and in accordance with goods vehicle operator's licence.
- Ability to make decisions quickly, flexible and logical attitude to problems - erratic volumes, vehicle breakdowns, delays.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial aspects of operating a commercial vehicle fleet - numerate and analytical.

**It would be great if you had**:
Previous experience in a Transport Supervisor role with a strong focus on health and safety, With the ability to motivate the team, communicate effectively and improve standards and performance.

HGV Driver licence with CPC training would be preferred but not essential with a good understanding of Transport legislation and best practise. Good computer skills, strong organisation skills and attention to detail, Good communicator - both written and verbal skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
