Summary We are looking to recruit an experienced Buildings Maintenance Supervisor to organise and manage maintenance work alongside small and medium (up to £50,000) sized projects, working in West Cornwall, The Lizard & Penrose and Lanhydrock.The roleencompasses residential, commercial and agricultural properties that are occupied by our tenants, as well as holiday cottages.

This is a supervisory role. The successful applicant will not be “on the tools” although a Trade background would be of benefit.We award the work in these geographic areas to external contractors and the role requires you to develop and manage productiveworking relationships. We’re looking for someone who has a solid working history and practical understanding of property maintenance of listed and old buildings, and who is able to diagnose problems and find solutions.

**Internally this position will be known as a “Let Estate Building Supervisor”.**

What it's like to work here You’ll be part of a very busy team consisting of Estate Managers, Building Surveyors, Lettings Officers and an Estate Management Officer as well as two other Building Supervisors and a Rural Asset Management Officer.

This post will report to the Senior Let Estate Building Surveyor. We’re a professional team who work closely together and get the job done. You’ll have the opportunity for a combination of home and site/office working. Principally working on historic andlisted buildings you’ll be able to increase your experience and knowledge in managing repairs and refurbishment to properties of this type.

What you'll be doing You’ll manage day to day repairs on our properties, through to larger redecoration and refurbishment projects. The role requires experience in managing costs, and ensuring maintenance works and projects are delivered to a high standardand on time.Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you have:

- Strong people skills
- Project management skills
- Basic IT skills
- Contractor management and compliance knowledge and expertise
- Knowledge of historic building materials and techniques
- Are a well organised person able to manage and prioritise multiple activities at the same time.
