The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Urgent Care service encompasses the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) and North East Essex Out of Hours (OOH)
The position of IUC Nurse Lead is a dual managerial and clinical lead role upholding the delivery of a quality and safe service for patients accessing Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) IUC services.
This is position will require you to cover 15 hours of Management and a minimum 10 Clinical hours per week.
The role requires the post holder to practice autonomously as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and support the local IUC Medical lead and Service Manager (Registered CQC Manager) in various aspects of the IUCS management to ensure high quality performance andgovernance of the IUCS.
The post holder is expected to provide line management and supervision for other health professionals within the IUCS.
They will promote and support the IUCS clinical audits and undertake quality assurance and governance activities.
The post holder will have an active role in recruitment, training and development to help promote and deliver a safe and efficient service.
There may be a requirement to work with external stakeholders including Commissioners and Quality leads and represent the IUCS at external meetings.
You will be working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the CAS which consists of GPs/ANPs, Registered Nurses, UCPs, Mental Health and Dental Nurses and Prescribing Pharmacists and Pharmacy Advisors.

To be considered for this role, you would need to:

- Be an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification
- Recent work experience within a Primary/Urgent Care environment
- Hold an independent prescribing qualification
- Hold an NMC Pin
- Be able to see, treat and discharge patients of all ages with unscheduled presentations
- Up to date with revalidation
- Masters levelqualification
- Substantial post qualification practice, with recent experience in Primary Care or Urgent Care
