Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our prestigious central government clients They are currently looking for an experienced GDS Assessment Consultant (Government Digitial Services) to join their team for a six-month contract.

We are seeking a consulting professional with extensive GDS experience, specifically to support and appraise our preparedness for GDS assessment for a range of projects across our Government and Public Sector portfolio.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will work alongside our practitioner teams to prepare for the assessment, ensure our readiness, and potentially be part of the team presenting and demonstrating the service to the assessment panel.
You will have worked extensively within the GDS framework, across the end-to-end project and service design and delivery lifecycle.
You will have likely worked both as a project practitioner having taken services through the assessment process and as part of an assessment panel.
You will be familiar with GDS methodologies and ways-of-working
You will be able to demonstrate how you have supported numerous projects through GDS assessment, supporting at all stages from planning, evidence collation, pre-assessment preparation and panel participation.
You will understand the rigour of the assessment process and the requirements to ensure a service meets the Service Standard.

Required Skills/Experience

BPSS clearance is required for this role
Advise, guide, and prepare evidence for service assessment session
Review of assessment plan against Government Service Standards
Identification of gaps in understanding and plan for improvements/remediation
Attendance and support at the gateway review meeting
Provide clear recommendations and remediation actions should a service not pass assessment
Consultancy pre and post-assessment providing objectivity and expertise on methodology
Upskilling of internal staff unfamiliar with the GDS service assessments
Practice run-throughs to increase success within GDS gateway assessment.
