**Overview **:As part of the programme you will rotate through a variety of other departments such as engineering, health & safety and commissioning to further enhance your experience and understanding within these business areas.Successful completion of the course and suitable performance throughout the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position being offered.**Responsibilities**:

- To follow instructions both written and verbal in order to learn and understand the basic skills and processes required in mechanical installation activities.
- Attend college on a day-release scheme to achieve the necessary job related academic qualifications to support the in-company activities and skill sets.
- Learn how to read and interpret mechanical engineering design/general assembly drawings to carry out the installation of mechanical systems, this could include hydraulics, mechanical fitting etc.
- Learn how to operate in a manner which does not endanger both the job holder and the personnel around him/her (Health & Safety at work)
- Work from ladders & platforms to install, modify or repair mechanical systems.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be enthusiastic, a good team player, reliable, hard working and flexible in your approach and willing to work extra hours when necessary and travel abroad as required.Applicants will need a total of 3 to 5 GCSEs at grade (A*-C) or (9-4) which includes:

- GCSE grade (A*-C) or (4-9) in English
- GCSE grade (A*-C) or (4-9) in science
- GCSE grade (A*-C) or (4-9) in maths
