Cambridge, United Kingdom Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The post will cover mainly Fenland and Cambridge within the Family Safeguarding Adult Mental Health Team in Cambridgeshire.

The post-holder will play a clinical role within a small team of Mental Health professionals supporting parents who currently have a child who is involved with Social Care.

The Family Safeguarding model brings together a number of professionals focussing on supporting adult/parental mental health with the knowledge that if the caregiver is well, their ability to care for and protect their child increases.

The wider team of adult practitioners address a number of adult risk factors associated with significant harm to children including substance misuse practitioners, mental health practitioners and domestic abuse practitioners.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary Adult Mental Health Team including Clinical Psychologists, OT, Social Workers, RMNs, and Assistant Psychologists. The AMHT across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Family Safeguarding is refreshingly innovative in approach, led by psychology, placing individualised trauma-informed formulation at the centre of the treatment model, drawing predominantly upon ACT/CFT theory.

In addition to a consideration of part time working options, we would like to offer the opportunity of working an annualised hours contract including term time working. There is a large degree of flexibility around different contract options.

**Key duties include**:
Delivering evidence-based mental health interventions largely in form of brief psychological therapies such as CBT and ACT, as well as advice, guidance, and signposting.

Conducting high quality mental health assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans based on these assessments.

Assessing and attending to risk management in a dynamic and proactive manner.

Attending case discussion referral meetings, contributing with their clinical expertise.

Attending Multi-disciplinary group supervisions, contributing appropriately.

Participating in a range of formal and informal review meetings that take place as part of LA Child Protection strategy.

Managing paperwork and record keeping appropriately, using Local Authority records systems as the main care record, but with access to CPFT’s SystmOne clinical record.
- Maintaining a commitment to one’s own CPD.
