This is an exciting opportunity to join our established and expanding Mental Health Support Team service hosted within CAMHS, as a joint initiative between health and education.

The Mental Health Support Teams began as a ‘Trailblazer’ project (proud to be the first site nationally to go live in December 2019). We continue to grow and expand across all localities Countywide, offering and providing services to partner schools and education providers.

MHST is an early intervention wellbeing service aimed at providing support for children young people and families around low-level emotional wellbeing needs, such as anxiety, low mood, managing emotions, and sleep. We link in directly with Nottinghamshire CAMHS teams and provide ‘in school’ sessions to promote a positive mental health.

We are seeking a team leader with clinical experience to support the establishment and operation of newly funded teams.

You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional with professional accreditation with HCPC registration or equivalent and relevant nationally recognised accrediting body

You must also have experience of working therapeutically with children, young people and families where there are emotional difficulties within a CAMHS service. It is preferable if you have experience of working in this capacity within schools.

The MHST cover the whole county of Nottinghamshire and have bases within Mansfield, and Nottingham, the main base for the team is at Highbury Hospital, Nottingham, NG6 9DR.
