I am partnered with An Arms - Length Body of the NHS who are looking for a Data Governance and Quality Analyst to join their team permanently

**Location**: Remote/ anywhere in the UK - Office is based in London

**Travel requirements**: If/when required for occasional meetings

**Salary**: £60,000 + 10% Bonus

**The Data Governance and Quality Analyst will**:

- Regularly measure, report and present findings on data quality controls to Data Owners, Data Stewards, the Data Steering Groups, Data Governance Committee, and Data Governance Board
- Undertake ad-hoc and root-cause data discovery analysis, recommend permanent solutions, and coordinate actions coming out of business discussions and Data Steering Groups
- Take a lead on monitoring data improvement activities, and coordinate actions coming out of the Data Governance Committee such as, developing data catalogues, glossaries, matrices, diagrams, and data flow mappings as relevant to describe the relevant dataitems across the organisation
- Develop a narrative around the data items identified to fulfil the required capabilities and advise senior business stakeholders on strategic and/or tactical decisions
- Interrogate databases using a wide range of data discovery and analysis tools and techniques to check data integrity
- Execute verification and investigation activities to identify root causes for data errors
- Define and put in place data quality metrics and controls across the operational data systems to monitor data quality

**The Data Governance and Quality Analyst will have**:

- Knowledge of data management and data governance processes
- Experience of data profiling to identify data quality issues
- Experience of undertaking data cleansing routines
- Experience of developing data quality initiatives and creating reports
- Experience of writing SQL queries
- Hands-on experience working with Microsoft BI solutions (including SQL Server and SSIS)
- Data glossary development exposure
- Strong experience in process modelling
