We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join us in Le Pain Quotidien. We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in the preparation of food. Responsibility for the cleanliness of the bakery and making sure the bakery is set up for a successful shift. We care about people and love to see them grow. We want our guests and our teams to enjoy each other’s company. **Key Responsibilities** - Support the kitchen team with food preparation throughout the shift, following the correct recipe and ensuring the correct use of equipment or utensils in line with Food Safety regulations - Keep all workstations and kitchen areas clean in line with Food Safety regulations - Communicates with retail teams to ensure full availability of items throughout day/evening. - Ensures communication with retail, floor and management when running low on or changing items. - Ensure all dishes are presented correctly and at the correct temperature. - Supports any special requests with FOH, including allergens.
