Antenatal and Postnatal Ward Lead

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a highly motivated, organised and forward-thinking midwife into our Antenatal/ Postnatal Ward Lead Midwife role. You will be proactive in helping to take the service forward to meet the needs of women/birthing people and families.
We are committed to an ambitious transformation of our maternity services and delivering national objectives. You will work collaboratively with the Matron for Maternity Inpatients and Band 7 coordinators, providing clinical leadership and promoting professional standards and a positive approach to learning.
You will have a strong clinical presence
The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and ensure the highest standard of midwifery care is given to all mothers/birthing people to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care. This is a predominantly clinical role. You will role model the professional behaviours and personal values consistent with positive team working and trust values.
Working flexibly, you will be responsible for providing professional and supportive clinical leadership as well as the operational management of the Antenatal / Postnatal Ward. You will also be part of the duty manager rota.
