Storth is looking to recruit a General Production Operative to work in our Cutting Shop. The primary role will be operating Machinery to prepare steel for fabrication. You will be experienced and proficient in using Metal Bandsaws, Punches, Pillar Drills and Basic CNC Equipment, demonstrating the safe use of this equipment and hand tools is vital. You will be required to work alongside a small team to provide the steel for the larger fabrication department. Working to a production plan with deadlines. The Role will be based at our Cutting Shop in the village of Holme, close to Carnforth.

**Skills**:

- Experience of using Band Saws and other machinery a benefit but not essential as training will be given.
- Being able to use own initiative
- Capable and proficient in the use of hand tools
- Experience in the use of Overhead Crane & Slinging an advantage (training will be given)
- Forklift driving (training will be given)
- Manual Handling & Lifting
- Good housekeeping skills in the workshop and yard areas
- Good communication skills to be able to liaise with different in-house departments

**Hours Of Work**
- Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 17.30
- Friday 8:00 - 15:00
- Overtime is available and paid at time and a half
- 30 Minutes (unpaid) lunch break
- 2 x 15 minute breaks
