These roles will be based in North Essex (**_Colchester and Tendering_**) and South and West Essex _(_**_Harlow and Basildon_**). **What we’re looking for**: - Do you have experience of providing housing support such as a Floating Support Worker, Housing Solutions Officer, Benefits Adviser or even a Specialist Housing Support Worker? - Do you have knowledge or experience of the private rental housing market in Essex? - Do you have experience of working directly with customers face to face? - Can you build positive relationships by demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication behaviours? - Do you have a good knowledge of statutory and community services along with experience of working with other agencies and statutory organisations? - Do you have good computer skills? - Can you drive and have access to a vehicle? If so, this role is perfect for you **A bit about the role**: As a** Move On Specialist**, you will work with operational colleagues and external parties to identify and support successful accommodation_ 'move-on_' pathways for young people from the Essex Young Peoples Service. Some of the key results for the role include: - Create and maintain effective relationships with local accommodation providers (including housing authorities, supported housing and private landlords) and facilitate communications to improve _'move-on'_ opportunities. - Provide operational team with accurate, current information on local accommodation options. - Work with small cases of young people to overcome specific difficulties and barriers to finding suitable move on accommodation. ***_This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle._** **_ Hours:_** These will be 18.75 per week (3 days). North Essex must be able to work Wednesday each week. South and West Essex must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday each week.
