We are looking for a Shift Clerk to join our team based at our Dover office. Our people are our greatest assets who work in a stimulating and motivational environment with emphasis on continuity and long-standing relationships. Our goal is to provide fast and effective response times to all local issues. This a great opportunity to join a thriving business and to become part of the freight and logistics industry, this is a shift work role to support 24/7 operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Completing the day-to-day Dover customs clearance work
- Assisting with the deep-sea customs operations
- Assisting with the booking and delivery operations of deep-sea containers
- Completing/amending freight bookings as required
- Assisting the Customs Clerks with completion of customs paperwork as required
- Building relationships with customers, shipping companies and overseas offices

**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Experience of completing import and export customs entries
- IT Literate
- Be conscientious and have attention to detail
- Communicate politely and efficiently
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Team player
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Enthusiastic and able to obtain positive client feedback
- Excellent customer service skills

Current shifts patterns are all 12 hour shifts 0700 - 1900 and 1900 - 0700

Mon / Tues 0700 - 1900

Wed / Thurs - off

Fri / Sat / Sun 1900 - 0700

Mon / Tues - off

Wed / Thurs / 0700 - 1900

Fri / Sat / Sun - off

Mon / Tues - 1900 - 0700

Wed / Thurs - off

Fri / Sat / Sun - 0700 - 1900

But this is due to change in the near future as a number of staff asked for a change so we put it to the vote, date of change to be confirmed, but will be 4 on 4 off, the 4 on will be day 1 & 2 0700 - 1900 and day 3 will be 1900 - 0700
