**Job Summary**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Customs Clearance Shift Clerk Assistant You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of international trade by assisting with import/export customs declarations and other operational duties.

**Shift pattern as follows**:
**4 on 4 off.**

**Hours - Days 1 & 2 - 07.00 to 19.00**

**Days 2 & 3 - 19.00 - 07.00**

**Responsibilities**
- Complete import and export customs declarations accurately and efficiently.
- Assist senior customs clerks with completing customs paperwork as needed.
- Contribute to other operational tasks within the office as directed by the manager.

**Skills**
- Willingness to learn and a strong desire to understand customs procedures and principles.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong IT literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Conscientious and detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to identify and report problems proactively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate politely and efficiently with clients and colleagues.

**Key Performance Standards**
- Timely and accurate completion of import/export declarations and other assigned tasks.
- Meeting deadlines consistently.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy in processing.
- Receiving positive feedback from clients regarding service and communication.
