**What you'll be doing**
As a Head of Manufacturing, you will have the following accountabilities:

- Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and market share, including improving product design and functionality, identifying new markets for products, and pricing items appropriately
- To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints: time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits
- Designing and implementing new & existing manufacturing processes and
procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Managing human resources functions such as hiring and training employees
and developing a team that can support company goals
- Overseeing departments for the inspection of products to ensure they meet
quality standards
- Monitoring the performance of all operations within the factory or plant to
identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
- Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and fabrication
departments for all phases of operations in a manufacturing facility
- Developing plans for all aspects of production including equipment
purchases, staffing needs, work schedules, and material requirements
- Creating reports for the management team and Director on progress
including sales, margin and profit.

**Who we're looking for**
You will have the following:

- At least 5 years’ experience working at a management level within a supply chain team.
- Managing end to end supply chain in a manufacturing environment (ideally steel fabrication). Performance driven, you will be motivated by achieving targets and ensuring that service level agreements and customer requirements are always met.
- Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively to lead and manage change. Project management, strong business planning and decision making with a proactive approach.
- Man-management skills, with a high level of communication and team orientated.
- Good financial awareness.
- Managing material levels, implementing new processes and procedures where necessary.
- Planning and scheduling techniques.
- Use of ERP systems
