Extrusion Operative

Based in Hereford, Linthwaite Ltd t/a LMC are firmly established as a nationwide manufacturing and distribution business into the Plumbing and Building Industry.

**Due to company growth and the increase of customer demands we are looking for an experienced extrusion operative to assist in the manufacturing of PVC pipe and plumbing materials. Supporting the Shift leaders and Production Coordinator, this role involves the smooth process of starting, setting, and operating machines such as Krauss Maffei and Extrunet.**

**Hours: Rotating shifts of 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am.**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Start up, setting, operating, and shutting down extrusion machinery
- Setting the line effectively to the correct temperature, speed, dimensions, and torque
- Quality checks of the raw materials
- Reporting any faults
- Cleaning and general upkeep of tooling and product dyes
- Communicating with end of the line production operatives

**Qualifications, Skills and Attributes required**:

- Polymer qualification
- Experience in Extrusion role
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive can-do attitude
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
