This role is based at our Newport Granville centre and is full time, working 44 hours per week.

A Halfords Autocentre Assistant Manager is a real team player. Technically skilled and focused on delivering a first class customer experience, you will already have experience as an Assistant Manager, Workshop Controller or Senior Vehicle Technician. Yourskilled support to our team of Technicians will give you the chance to use your technical ability, and you’ll also spend time with our customers, delivering a great customer-first experience face to face in our busy Autocentre.

You’ll enjoy the responsibility of running the Autocentre in the Centre Manager’s absence, working with the team to deliver excellent results, and we’ll support you on your journey to become the best in your field, progressing your career to Centre Managerand beyond.

As you'd expect you will need a full valid driving licence for this role, and you will also need to demonstrate:

- A track record of delivering great customer experience
- Experience of managing colleagues and one to one coaching
- Ideally some technical experience
- A track record of success in delivering against key metrics
- Evidence of delivering against customer metrics
