An International Retail conglomerate is hiring a Node Engineer to join & lead their expanding London-based team. This company is working with a lot of decisive choice data and Big Data. You will be transforming large volumes of old school tech into new techonto serverless software They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced Node Software Engineer, looking for fast progression inside a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. You will be granted artistic license and freedom within your own projectin conjunction with fantastic mentoring opportunities.

**THE COMPANY**:
The company is an ever-growing global retailer, evolving and expanding into multiple new areas. Their massive customer base and consistent performance have led to a strong turnover as a result. They are looking for a strong applicant to work closely on backendsoftware amongst a technically proficient team within a fast-paced, expansive environment.

**THE ROLE**:
As a Node Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

- Design, development and upkeep of required software using Node
- Design, development and upkeep of essential microservices
- Design, development and upkeep of APIs
- Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
- Data analysis and management of Big Data to make real-time decisions
- Mentoring junior software engineers, enhancing their development
- Managing cloud tech, working with Apache Kafka

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
A successful Node Engineer for this role will have:

- Significant commercial experience as a Node or JS Software Engineer
- Commercial experience working with APIs
- Experience converting monoliths into microservices
- Significant In-depth experience of AWS and cloud technologies
- Experience with real-time data streaming
- Experience in a fast pace working environment

**THE BENEFITS**:
The salary range for this role is £65,000 to £85,000 alongside pension contributions and is hybrid
