**The Company**

This Software Engineer role operates within the retail sector with one of the great retailers in the business. They cover many different areas such as Finance, HR, and property. They move millions of products to their millions of customers across the U.K.

**The Role**

As a Software Engineer, you'll be creating amazing products by interpreting and following best practice architectural principles for one of the Engineering teams you lead

In specific, you can expect the following:

- You'll build services, libraries and tools by producing clean, maintainable and well-documented code
- Design innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying and using the best tools and approaches appropriate to the problem and solution
- Keep up with industry trends and new tools, technologies and development methods with a view to adopting best practices that are appropriate to our team
- Share knowledge with the rest of the team. Coach more junior members of the team

**Your Skills And Experience**

The successful Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

- Proven commercial experience in Node.js, React.js, Redux and Typescript
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Microservices architecture and Patterns (Strangler, pub/sub and event sourcing)
- JS libraries and Web Technologies such as Node, React, typescript, HTML5 and CSS
- JS coding patterns and best practices (DRY, observer and builder patterns)
- Databases - we use MongoDB (AWS)

**The Benefits**

The successful Software Engineer will receive a salary up to £70,000, a great working from home structure (2 days in the office every week), a bonus scheme and, a pension, as well as a discount across relevant brands.
