An exciting opportunity has arisen for an **Allied Health Professional Lead** at the Clinic, whose role will be responsible for reading on professional oversight and governance of the Allied Health Profession (AHP) at the Clinic. Working closely with the designated AHP leads in therapies, theatres, outpatients and radiology. We are offering up to £6,000 for this post based on experience.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the division has robust structures, processes and systems in place to support a workforce that is fit for the future and that is competent and able to deliver safe, high quality services and excellent patient care. As the AHP Lead, the post holder will lead on workforce transformation programmes for their profession with Apprenticeships, Preceptorships, Rotations, International Recruitment, Return to Practice and AHP Support Workforce Development.

**This position forms part of a substantive role and the AHP Lead will have 15 hours of protected time each month to undertake these duties.**

**Job Type**: Part Time, permanent

**Hours**: 15 hours per Month

**Location**: The London Clinic Main Hospital 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW.

**Salary**: Band 7 equivalent salary range on offer based on skills and experience.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Represent the professions at senior management level in the care groups.
- Be the single point of contact for the profession by using their professional expertise to support the development of the AHP workforce.
- Represent the profession with NHS England, Higher Education Institutions, IHPN and Integrated Care Systems across London, as well as the professional bodies.
- Represent the profession with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Provide profession specific professional leadership.
- Represent AHPs in the Clinical Practice Development Committee, which co-ordinates and oversees the development and communication of profession specific guidance and education, in line with strategies and local policies, as well as best available evidence nationally.
- Interpret and evaluate information from diverse sources to make informed judgements about its quality, appropriateness for professional practice and service delivery.
- Establish professional boundaries and resolve issues using negotiation skills, influencing and diplomacy with relevant stakeholders, ensuring resolution of highly sensitive and contentious professional issues.
- Represent the Clinic at internal and external AHP events as appropriate.

**Skills & Experience**
- Degree in Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy.
- Extensive leadership or managements experience in AHP
- Ensure Quality assurance and risk assessment, and management, pertaining to professional group.
