We are looking to recruit Multi Skilled Operatives to join our team at a site in Manston.
You will work with the team and be responsible for the efficient and timely preparation of a quality food delivery service, assisting also in the preparation of meals and beverages for the Home Office client, company employees and guests, always maintaininga high quality of hygiene standards.
You will also be required to carry out general cleaning tasks as detailed on the cleaning schedule as directed by the Supervisors/Manager, carrying out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation, including Health and Safetyand personal hygiene.
**Main Duties and responsibilities of the role.**
Maintain contract health & safety, and hygiene standards in line with current legislation
Ensure that all allocated HACCP, Food Safety & due diligence records are completed and maintained on a regular basis.
Adhere to company policy on dealing with food handling and such preparations needed.
To comply with OCS company and client policies and procedures.
Ensure personal appearance, including uniform are always of the highest standards in line with company policy.
To work in all areas across the site including catering outlets & kitchens as requested by the Catering manager / supervisors
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately.
To ensure that all clients and customers and dealt with promptly and courteously according to company standards.
Prepare counter to the standard laid out by the management.
To assist in serving all food and beverages at the specified times and in the appropriate quantities within the retail environment.
Ensure sound knowledge of the food served daily together with the portion size and any allergen & calories content
Ensure tables, chairs, trolleys, and floors are always kept clean and tidy.
To prepare and assemble the migrant meals (breakfast, lunch & supper) in accordance with the correct preparation scope.
Assist in the preparation of food for all catering service outlets
Clean all areas of food preparation and service using the nominated cleaning schedules
Ensure that floor and wall surfaces are kept clean to the prescribed height.
Maintain full compliance with ISO9002 & ISO14001 requirement for which you have responsibility
To perform any other duty which may be reasonably required by your line manager or the company.
General cleaning tasks may include
- Emptying waste bins/recycling areas
Attending to ad hoc duties as directed by the site Supervisor
Communal area cleaning
Lift and Stair cleaning
Cleaning of meeting rooms
Cleaning of tea points
Cleaning of washrooms
Vacuum cleaning
High
- and low-level cleaning
**To be successful in this role you will need.**
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Basic food hygiene and a knowledge of health and safety - Levels 1 & 2 food safety can be provided, but experience preferred
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in an Hospital Catering environment
A good team player.
The ability to work using their own initiative under instruction
Ability to follow policy and procedures
Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
