**OUR CLIENT**

A fast-growing co-living and residential property company that manages a diverse portfolio across London.

**THE ROLE**

The _Bookkeeper & Account Manager_ works in close contact with the Sales team and holds responsibility for handling customer accounts once a sale has completed. You will be tasked with issuing contracts, preparing regular invoices, reconciling payments,and issuing additional invoices for ad-hoc services booked by the customer. It will be your responsibility to ensure timely payment of receivables and to chase any unpaid invoices.

You will also be tasked with providing support in the payment of invoices to service providers and vendors, as well as the bookkeeping and reconciliation of income & expenses through the accounting software.

Main duties:

- Issue contracts to customers in line with length of stay and pricing indicated by sales, setting-up regular invoicing and issuing ad-hoc invoices for utility costs above set fair usage as well as additional services during the stay.
- Reconciliation of invoices on the accounting system and monitoring payments &receivables.
- Processing & bookkeeping of invoices payable to service providers, vendors, and landlords.
- Provide support to the Operations team with the bookkeeping & management of expenses accounts.
- Manage & organise monthly council tax payments and set-up all new bookings and move outs.
- Follow-up and resolve payment issues/queries, chasing payments where appropriate.
- Review exception items and escalate pertinent issues as required.
- Provide monthly aged creditors reporting and analysis.

**THE CANDIDATE**
- Has a minimum of 12 months experience of working within an accounting/bookkeeping department.
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment whilst under pressure.
- Happy to work as part of a small team and not afraid of handling support requests from various departments (with the ability to prioritise).
- Proactive and a proficient problem solver.
- Experience of using Xero accounting software would be ideal (but not essential).

**OTHER**
- This is a permanent position based in Camden (NW1).
- The working hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid working is available - work 2 days from home each week.
- This position pays a basic salary of between £25k-£35k (depending on experience) along with an annual discretionary bonus.
