We're looking for a** Senior Tech Artist **to join our team at Hypixel Studios, which collaborates remotely from around the world. Hytale_ _empowers creative expression across a spectrum of experiences including sandbox adventure, social play, minigames, and creativity using a suite of powerful and accessible tools.

As a **Senior Tech Artist**, what you create will be used-internally and by external creators-to make high quality content for Hytale. You will report to the Creative Director, collaborating across disciplines to identify best practices for content creation, and with specific ownership over assigned art content pipelines. You will mentor other tech artists, and collaborate with the engineering team to develop the best engine and pipeline for Hytale.

**Some of your role**:

- Work with your fellow Tech Artists-in consultation with the Creative Director, the Art Director, and other stakeholders-to bridge art and engineering and improve both pipelines and tool sets.
- Write and maintain generic Python architecture for DCC agnostic tools
- Design componentized Control Rigs that can be used for Bipeds, Quadrupeds and Faces
- Implement scriptable rigging system for Maya and Blender
- Consult on Technical Animation capabilities and Direction for content creation and the engine.
- Consult on internal tool delivery and artist onboarding.
- Work closely with other disciples (Design, Art, Production, Engineering, et al) in support of our diverse game experiences

**Essential traits**:

- 5+ years experience as a Technical Artist in games or related industries and completed at least 2 AAA games through the whole development cycle.
- Advanced cross-discipline communication, collaboration and leadership skills; you are able to interface with artists, technical team members and studio leadership in a remote environment and across multiple time zones
- Expertise in content creation and tool development in DCC tools, particularly Maya and Photoshop.
- Skilled at Python scripting/programming and comfortable writing C++

**Bonus traits**:

- Experience shipping titles across multiple platforms (PC/Console/Mobile)
- Experience in 3D Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing, Animation
- Experience with design content systems for Interactive Animations (player to player, player to environment) and Physics content (hair, fabric, et al)
- Experience with asset database workflows and Javascript (especially using three.js)
