**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling of materials.
- Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and order processing.
- Assist in stock management, including receiving shipments, checking for discrepancies, and organising stock on shelves.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipping and receiving of products.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
**Skills**
- Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficient in picking and packing processes with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving.
**What We’re Looking For**
- **Forklift Experience**: Required - you must have previous forklift operating experience.
- **Education**: GCSEs or equivalent.
- **Physically Fit**: Able to lift up to 23 kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
- **Detail-Oriented**: Accuracy and care in all tasks.
- **Team Player**: Positive attitude and reliability are essential.
- **Availability**: Must be available **Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM**.
- **Local to Ashington**: Must be able to reliably commute; no relocation support provided.
- **Work Authorization**: Must be legally allowed to work in the UK.
