**Viking**have an exciting opportunity for a **PMO and PM Director **to join our team based in Milton Keynes or Leicester (hybrid working). You will join us on a**full-time, permanent** basis and in return, you willreceive an **excellent salary and benefits package.**

As our **PMO and PM Director,** you will be responsible for the day-to-day needs of the respective teams, for resource allocation to projects, the quality of project management and the continuous improvement of the service. You will have overallresponsibility for maintaining a clear and transparent portfolio of projects at all stages of the lifecycle.
**Your responsibilities as our PMO and PM Director will include**:
**Portfolio**
- Maintaining and optimising the portfolio of projects to ensure that each initiative remains relevant and aligns with agreed strategies
- Maintaining the IT Portfolio Roadmap and escalate deviations, issues and key risks appropriately
- Identifying, deploying and maintaining cost effective and appropriate standard software tools
**Project Management**
- Ensuring effective and accurate planning is created with input and agreement from all stakeholders
- Providing estimations for project management resources to projects/initiatives
- Reviewing project delivery status’ and ensuring PMO & governance standards, security & compliance standards are adhered to
**PMO**
- Providing support through guidelines and direction regarding the management of projects
- Establishing a central project management function that affords the opportunity for project managers to administer projects from a single, centralised office
- Providing a road map for projects by developing and implementing a consistent and standardised processes for methodologies
- Ensuring that all Program & Project documentation and artifacts are created, maintained and stored
- Establishing, maintaining, communicating and continuously improving the PMO Governance Framework
- Managing and improving governance centre of excellence
**Leadership**
- Maintaining and flexing the organisation of PMO & PM team resources
- Providing vision, leadership and effective management the PMO Officers & PMs
- Onboarding and managing 3rd party supplied resources, associated costs and processes
- Driving and developing a culture of continuous improvement
- Managing resource budgets; both internal and external
**What we're looking for in our PMO and PM Director**:
- A qualification or accreditation in Portfolio or Project Management e.g. PRINCE2, PPM etc., and a minimum of 5 years of experience leading significant transformation programs and change initiatives
- Strong knowledge and proven experience of project management processes, tools, performance measures and metrics
- Experience of managing a Project Portfolio valued at €15m +
- Technology experience in managing an IT projects-based Portfolio with significant business change
- Experience in developing, implementing and running Portfolio & Project teams and processes in multiple methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
- A strong sense of ownership with the drive to succeed, results driven, flexible and able to manage vision and purpose
- Highly skilled at conflict management, stakeholder management and resource management
