Company Overview
We are local, family owned rehabilitation centre, also incorporating the clinical practice of a consultant neurologist, co-owner of the centre. We interact with, clients, patients and therapists who depend on our services and care. The rehabilitation centreruns on a not for profit basis. Local owners, providing treatment, by local therapists for local people. We have 6000sq ft of rehabilitation space and therapy rooms.
Job purpose
This is a fixed term role covering maternity leave so no likelihood of longer role. This role is to provide bookkeeping for the centre and the consultant clinical practice. This also involved engagement with reception and general administration duties. Theposition would suit somebody, looking for a quality role, working with a professional family and therapists. It promises to provide an interesting, varied and exciting range of duties in a centre devoted to making people better. Experience in healthcare wouldbe helpful but not essential as would a personal interest in sport and fitness.
Role and duties
1. Maintaining the company books
2. Logging and submitting invoices
3. Inputting financial information on behalf of therapists on Excel and making appropriate payments.
4. Archiving in order to keep office tidy.
5. Assisting other team members such as reception, typing reports and organising the diary when occasionally needed.
6. Taking telephone calls for the Rehab Centre and clinical practice - mainly message keeping and liaison.
7. Process and prepare forms and payments for checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
8. Reconciling bank statements on Sage 50
9. Reconciling any errors or discrepancies found 1
0. Producing quarterly VAT reports
11. Collecting information for payroll
12. Debt collecting
Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications
Full training will be given, with deliberate overlap with team member starting leave (a family member). Computer literacy, Book keeping Good head for figures Professional and enthusiastic Team person Respect for privacy and confidentiality paramount. Necessaryto work as individual and part of small team. Capable of showing initiative, but accuracy essential. Knowledge of VAT helpful, but our accountants provide full support.
