**Senior Business Engagement Executive**

We are a membership organisation representing a community of more than 850 businesses of all sizes and sectors.

We provide a range of services to businesses ranging from business support, international trade, advocacy, education and skills engagement to more than 100 events and networking opportunities each year.

Our Education and Skills team help to connect businesses together with schools and education settings, raising awareness of different career paths, helping to prepare young people and adults for rewarding and successful careers in Doncaster.

The Senior Business Engagement Executive’s main role is to ensure effective engagement with all types and sizes of businesses across Doncaster to engage them in education and skills conversation and activity.

The role will entail building a network of employers, connecting them with the Doncaster Promise, to ensure educational activities/projects are appropriately facilitated and existing workforces are developed and skilled to meet need.

Initially, due to a large skills project the we are delivering, this role will lead on business engagement activity with local businesses on their current and future skills needs. This will include business interviews/diagnostics and event attendance.

**Main duties will include**:

- Developing a plan and process to ensure effective business engagement activity within the education & skills team
- Lead for business engagement activity supporting the Doncaster Promise, Local Skills Improvement plan and other education/skills projects.
- Support other education/skills team colleagues to ensure business support and engagement for their activities.
- Carry out skills needs conversations and feed into other colleagues to inform insight activity
- Liaise and work with colleagues across the organisation to develop new business contacts.
- Attend networking and business events where appropriate to build connections and relationships.
- Engage and network with appropriate partners and stakeholders building mutually beneficial relationships and referral points
- Although no direct line reports, working with the Education & Skills Manager this role will involve responsibilities for ensuring other employer engagement activity across the education/skills team is effectively planned, implemented and evaluated.
- Complete weekly and monthly performance reports against each contract
- Represent the organisation on key employer engagement boards as and when required.
- Be the lead for employer engagement on education activities.
- Create strategies to link engagement activity of all responsible projects together, maximising engagement time and increasing productivity.
- Have a clear focus on quality at all times
- Always represent the organisation and its members in a positive manner to partners and stakeholders.

**About you**

You will be great at building rapport and understanding the needs of businesses and focused on delivering high quality outcomes and contractual requirements.

You will be proactive and determined, using your initiative and building effective working relationships.

You will need to be able to attend events and meetings throughout Doncaster, so a full driving license and access to your own vehicle for work are a must.
