**Position**: Support Worker (Complex Needs)
**Location**: Walsall
**Client**: 18-Year-Old with Autism & Intellectual Disorder
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the life of a young adult with complex needs? We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing essential care and support.
**About the Role**:
- **Client Profile**: Male transitioning from children’s services.
- **Needs**: Autism, intellectual disorder, anxiety.
- **Behavior**: Can display aggressive behaviors, including hitting and biting.
- **Care Requirements**: Personal care, administration of medication
- **Schedule**: Long days/ Morning/ Afternoon/ Waking Night shifts
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide person-centered support, ensuring the client’s safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily personal care and medication administration.
- Engage the client in meaningful activities and outings, promoting a positive and active lifestyle.
- Develop and maintain activity diaries and care plans.
- Collaborate closely with the client’s involved parents, who actively participate in their care and take him out on weekends.
**Essential Requirements**:
- **Driver’s License**: Required, as the client enjoys traveling and being taken on outings.
- **Behavior Management**: Experience or willingness to train in Breakaway, BLS, PBS, and potentially restraint techniques.
- **Experience**: Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors preferred.
