We’re looking for an experienced Team Leader with proven management experience to join Field Studies Council Juniper Hall. In this senior role, you’ll manage and mentor a passionate education team, oversee curriculum delivery, and contribute to the strategic management of the centre alongside the Centre Manager.
- **Permanent full-time contract - average 37.5 hours per week**
- Weekly hours may vary—more during busy periods, less during quieter times.
- **Starting salary is circa £32,045 per annum**

**What you’ll be doing**
In this senior role, you will:
- Lead and manage the education team, providing guidance, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
- Develop, plan, and oversee the delivery of high-quality curriculum-linked learning experiences that increase students’ understanding of nature and the environment.
- Support the Centre Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the centre and contribute to strategic planning.
- Participate in some hands-on teaching in the field, working with students of all ages on a variety of science and geography programmes.

**Where you’ll be based**
Juniper Hall is a 17th-century country house set in a peaceful wooded valley at the edge of Box Hill, Surrey, in an unspoilt area of the chalk North Downs. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and steeped in history, it’s a friendly and rewarding place to work.
**Who we’re looking for**
We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing and developing teams, with:
- Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
- At least 5 years relevant work experience, with the confidence to produce and prepare teaching resources, activities and lesson plans that meet curricular requirements
You will also have:
- A strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work
- A flexible, adaptive approach, able to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional manner and empathy with the Field Studies Council’s mission
- Commitment to personal development and motivation to take on new challenges
