**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title **Warehouse Operative - Alfreton, DE55

**Responsible to **Operations Manager/Warehouse Supervisor

**Responsible for **N/A

**Purpose of Role**

Service delivery of the receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods

To efficiently deal with goods and products that come into the warehouse including; checking for damaged or missing items, moving stock around by hand or using forklift truck, picking and packing orders and keeping the records up to date

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately and any productivity targets are met
- To liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
- Stock management: purchase and book in stock, stock checks, check for damaged or missing items
- To pick and pack orders for despatch
- To arrange cost effective carrier collections as required
- The loading and unloading of HGVs and containers by hand and/or using a forklift truck
- To carry out various required checks including: forklift and Bendi driving and daily pre-usage checks, HGV and van pre-usage checks and warehouse racking checks
- To book agency workers when required and supervise agency workers when on site
- To drive company vehicles, when required including forklift trucks at all sites, but predominantly at Alfreton Hub. Also to carry out deliveries on behalf of Arrow and our customers.
- General housekeeping and maintenance in the warehouse/on site and ordering of warehouse supplies
- To maintain records on the warehouse ERP system
- To have an awareness and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
- To have extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives and its strategic direction

**Qualifications**

**Essential**

Full driving licence category B

**Preferable**

Forklift truck experience, preferably a current licence

**Hours**

Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch break

Fridays 7am - 4pm with 1 hour lunch break

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00 per year
