- PETA are proud to be working in partnership with Next Communication to support with the recruitment and training of A Telecoms Apprentice. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.**Why choose an apprenticeship with Next Communications?**

- This challenging and exciting role will offer the successful apprentice an opportunity to progress in to a full time engineer position, upon completion of the apprenticeship.**Training to be provided**:
As an apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from Next Communication combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.**About the role**:
What will my new role involve?
- We are looking to recruit a Telecoms Apprentice who is a hardworking, organised individual with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- As a Telecoms Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Becoming a valued part of the support team
- Installation & maintenance of VoIP based telephone system
- Providing technical support both remotely and in person on the clients site
- Managing the helpdesk system, ensuring all calls are handled within appropriate timescales
- Commissioning broadband circuits at customers’ premises including router deployment and configuration, fault diagnosis and rectification
- Keeping CRM records updated and correct
- Documenting and following processes
- Answering calls

**Essential skills**:
Next Communications are looking for an apprentice who has a real passion for IT and technology. Whilst previous experience is not required, an eagerness to learn and a desire for a long-term career in the industry is a must. The successful apprentice will also require:
- GCSE maths & English at grade 4 / C or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A team player, able to build relationships and work well in a team
- A self-starter, able to work alone when required
- A quick learner, able to ask the right questions to further your knowledge
- Enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
