Our Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a university, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships have a typical duration of 3- 6 years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

The Opportunity

**Digital Technology Solutions Professional - Network Engineer**:
As a Level 6 Degree Apprentice Telecoms Engineer, you will work on the design and specification of ICT systems and services for the built environment. You will be working closely with and providing technical support to our engineers and consultants in carrying out design work according to the client requirements. In addition to design, this role will also include ICT space planning, ICT appraisal and overseeing the installation and bringing into service of ICT which will typically include:

- Physical infrastructure (e.g. ICT rooms, routes and risers) and Cabling (e.g. copper and fibre)
- Local Area Networks (LANs)
- Wireless LANs
- Telephony Systems
- Television Distribution Systems (Terrestrial, Satellite and IP)
- Private Mobile Radio Systems
- Cellular Enhancement Systems e.g. DAS and Small Cells
- Cyber Security

This apprenticeship leads to a BSc Digital and Technology Solutions Degree (Network Engineer Pathway). From your first day you'll join a community of experts, where everyone is supported in their career path and encouraged to work towards an accredited qualification. You will be assigned a mentor within your team to ensure a smooth transition into the working environment. You will work and liaise closely with them in your day-to-day work.

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for apprentices who are curious and ready to evolve how they think and work.

Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective - in which we encourage individuality to thrive. If you can share your knowledge and ideas and encourage others to do the same; whilst having a desire to deliver excellent services for clients - we'd like to hear from you.

You should be able to start this opportunity no later than September 2025.
