Evenjobb Saturday Cafe is a community project run by Evenjobb Village Hall. We are open on Saturdays throughout the year, and aim to provide a warm welcome and tasty food for the local community.

**Job description**

We are looking for a self-employed person to join the Evenjobb Saturday Café team.

Responsibilities include the preparation of food and drink for sale, monitoring expenses and takings, and ordering of stock (e.g. coffee, milk and snacks), as needed.

To be successful in this role you should ideally have work experience in the catering industry and be friendly and social.

You should be available to work during the normal preparation and opening hours (10am - 4pm) on 2 - 3 Saturdays each month throughout the year.

Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and ensure our Saturday café continues to be a thriving local resource.

**Responsibilities**
- Preparation of food and drinks for sale
- Purchase supplies, as needed
- Maintain updated records of takings and expenses
- Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure all café areas and facilities are clean and tidy
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

**Requirements**:

- Previous work experience in catering/hospitality
- Availability to work within opening hours 2 - 3 Saturdays per month
- Good communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and honesty
