**[ A**bout the Role]**

The objective of the lectureship is to provide a development opportunity for those who have exceptional potential in teaching and research in political economy of development. During the two-year appointment, SOAS Associate Lecturers will have the opportunity to develop their teaching experience, as well as their research trajectory. Associate Lecturers are expected to contribute to class teaching on the undergraduate degree programme and other teaching on the undergraduate or postgraduate programme as may be available. While our class teaching needs can arise in all core areas of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum, we particularly welcome applicants who can teach in the area of Islamic law

You will be expected to teach across some of the following modules of the LLB and LLM (depending on experience and teaching needs): Islamic Family Law, Islamic Legal Theory, Human Rights and Islamic Law and Human Rights and Islamic Law II.
