Middleton Lodge is a privately-owned Georgian country estate based in 200 acres of private countryside in North Yorkshire.
Set in its own private parkland with views across the Cleveland Hills, the 18th century Main House house has four reception rooms and 16 bedrooms. The house is still a family home, and is available for exclusive private hire, weddings, corporate activities and occasional events.
Across the grounds, you will find The Coach House, an award-winning hotel and restaurant. Beautifully restored, the hotel has nine bedrooms and a relaxed all-day restaurant showcasing the best of our local Yorkshire produce, where possible from our own recently restored kitchen gardens. The Kitchen gardens on the estate have recently been restored and it is here where The Fig House is found. From April 2018, this venue will be able to host up to 100 delegates, overlooking the fascinating landscape garden design of Tom Stuart Smith, this light airy space provides a fresh perspective for you and your guests.
**The Ideal Person **
Someone who has previous experience in a reservations role
Possess excellent guest focus and a real passion for hospitality.
Have an excellent telephone manner.
Someone with eye for detail and procedures, have the ability to be efficient under pressure and be able to multi task.
Excellent organizational skills will be of paramount importance.
Experience with booking systems Rezlynx and Opentable would be beneficial.
Someone who understands that customer service is paramount to our business and that all guests receive a warm and personalised welcome, maintaining the personal touch.
A strong communicator with guests and fellow employees especially the reception team.
**Reservationist Responsibilities **
Making hotel reservations
Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times
To be aware of seasonal and historical trends
Ensuring maximum occupancy, average room rates and RevPAR targets are achieved.
To carry out reception duties and cover when business demands it
To be fully conversant with all reservation procedures including cancellations and no-shows, and adhere to these procedures at all times.
Chase all unconfirmed bookings, ensuring they are confirmed or released in accordance with hotel policy.
To be fully aware of rates and promotions and to quote such rates in line with hotel revenue strategy. Ensuring maximum occupancy and rates are achieved at all times
To deal with all internal and external customers in a professional manner including answering all telephone calls promptly and correctly.
To complete reservation checks as per Company standards
To attend any relevant training courses.
The day to day operation of the reservations department.
Focusing on outstanding customer service aiming to exceed our guest’s expectations, making each and every person feel special.
Dealing with guest enquiries and resolving any customer complaints.
