Robert Half are looking for a hands-on **SME Financial Controller** on behalf a group of tech savvy **_private equity investors_**. Our clients are specialists within the tech space with a focus on purchase and turnaround of businesses with growth potential. Our client is currently a **fully remote organisation**_(future plans for hubs in London, Bristol, Birmingham)._

This highly acquisitive group of investors are currently going through a lot of positive change and are involved in various **mergers/acquisitions**.

Our client is looking for an **interim SME Financial Controller** to join them for a **12-15-month period** who is used to working within face paced, demanding _PE backed environments_, this is a great opportunity to join a group that are growing, this role is a pivotal in supporting the continued high growth strategy.

**Role**:Interim Financial Controller - SME Private Equity backed business**

**Duration**: 4-6 months

**Rate**: £450-£650pd (via Umbrella)

**Working basis**: Fully remote

**Start date**: ASAP (within the next few weeks)

**Duties will include**:

- Assist with implementation and ongoing delivery of a monthly fully consolidated management reporting pack
- Working capital and cash flow forecasting
- Preparation of VAT and PAYE returns and collate corporation tax data for external advisors
- Lead the year end budgeting and forecast model revisions working with business
- Lead the production of statutory accounts for the group
- Ensure financial compliance with regulatory standards and procedures.
- Assist with current and ongoing specific financial projects including investments and acquisitions
- Manage bank accounts when requested by the Partners
- Purchase Sales and General ledger management for the group
- Prepare and maintain P&L and Balance sheets for group companies and a consolidated P&L and Balance sheet for the group
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of budgets
- Manage payroll for the Group
- Manage travel and subsistence expense payments
- Provide oversight and guidance to subsidiary company's finance teams Liaising with and managing external finance advisors

**Desirables**:

- Xero System knowledge
- Modelling and cash flow analysis
- Group Financial reporting and consolidation
- Experience with a developing finance function an advantage
- Bookkeeping and financial administration
- Financial and management accounting
