Bid and Marketing Assistant

Ideally, you will be based somewhere on the South Coast. Remote working with occasional travel to sites in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton and meetings with the Head of Marketing on the South Coast. Alternatively, this position can be officebased if preferred.
If you’ve always wanted to play a part in a leading company, here’s your chance. Right now, as part of our client’s exciting, continued growth plans, they’re looking for a talented and experienced Bid/Marketing Assistant to join their growing team.
This newly created role will have responsibility for supporting the Head of Marketing in the end-to-end external tender/bid process for major high-value contracts with both new and existing clients. You will also work assisting with marketing, communicationand promotional activities related to the business.
The Bid/Marketing Assistant will play a key role in achieving growth objectives by supporting the business throughout the bid/tender process and delivering compelling copy in line with the company’s brand, position and processes.
As a key member of the team, you will help develop and translate winning strategies and business objectives into smart, consistent, customer-focused, error-free documents and presentations, project managing your activities in line with department bid plansand client deadlines.
You will have good copywriting skills and be able to produce compelling content.
Our client is looking for someone with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels, internally and externally. A highly self-motivated approach is vital, and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will be committedto meeting deadlines and driving results.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with all milestones within a bid/tender response, ensuring these are delivered on time and to the desired quality
- Work within representative groups to develop bespoke & innovative proposals
- Develop & maintain internal relationships within the business and project manage the collation of bid information from all areas of the business
- Assist in the successful structuring, designing & producing of proposals to win business
- Ensure all questions are answered pertinently. Proofread bid documents for fluidity and correct use of English
- Review and keep up to date tender portals advertising tender opportunities
- Maintain and keep up to date bid trackers
- Administer & keep up to date the library of bid information, past answers, and responses
- Produce presentations
- Assist with corporate brochures, company statements and marketing information
- Assist in the production of case studies to showcase the company’s experience
- Support content writing for internal communications, including Intranet news stories, staff updates and guides
- Support external agencies on news stories, campaigns and other marketing activities
- A creative thinker with an eye for accuracy & detail
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- A strong and persuasive writing style
- Details oriented, accurate, excellent organisation
- Advanced formatting and document layout skills
- Ability to work under pressure & deliver documents of an exceptionally high standard whilst working towards challenging deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Work within a team and independently
- Keep up to date with schedules & deadlines
- Proactive ability to build close working relationships with the various stakeholders
- The ability to work within various software packages, including Word, PowerPoint, InDesign, etc.
