A leading defence technology business require a Buyer. Applicants should have procurement experience within a defence, public sector (or similarly regulated setting) or engineering environment and be comfortable with a blend of operational and strategictasks.

The Buyer will work as part of a multi-disciplined commercial team, principally supporting procurement bid work and developing supply chain capability. The Buyer will report to a Procurement Manager.

Specific duties of the Buyer (Bids & Projects) include:

- Supply market intelligence activities
- Sourcing suppliers and managing tender processes
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Supplier onboarding - ensuring compliance with company and industry regulations
- Ongoing supplier relationship management activities

Buyer (Bids & Projects) applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Procurement experience within; aerospace/defence, public/regulated, engineering/manufacturing sectors
- Supplier Management experience
- Negotiation skills, and comfortable with contracts
- Understanding/Appreciation of procurement governance and regulations
