The role will provide the opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in accountancy to start their career. It will enable you to develop your accountancy experience working within a business environment.The role will be varied and you will be provided ’on-the-job’ training to support your AAT apprenticeship studies.
What will the apprentice be doing?
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to carry out bookkeeping (data input and export) duties in our Accounts Department and auditing of jobs on specific portal
Main responsibilities:
- Processing transactions.
- Liaising with suppliers and clients
- Using Sage Accounts
- Maintaining records and management information.
- Anything else required by the business.
Hours: 37.00 per week

Requirements and Prospects:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to listen and understand processes
- Good attention to detail Strong IT / Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge
- Able to work to deadlines - both externally and internally
- Confident and professional communicator, particularly on the telephone
- Good work ethic and understanding of appropriateness in the workplace
- Ability to plan and manage changing priorities
- Mature attitude and a self-starter
On completion of your Level 3 Apprenticeship there will be opportunity to progress on to Level 4 AAT.
Training Provided:
Usual split 4 days office 1 day with the employee gaining valuable hands on skills & gaining qualifications
Additional Information:
- GCSE English and Maths A*-C/4-9 or Level 2 equivalents
