City College Peterborough’s Study Skills department are looking for a Multi Skilled SEN Tutor to join their team. We are excited about our future and are seeking someone to share and develop our vision for our young people.
Due to a growth in teaching, we are seeking a confident and motivated tutor that can help and support the learners to achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment, teaching English and Maths, you would be working with them on a 1-2-1/2-1 ratio or a small group of learners. You will work with other lecturers to raise the learning and attainment of young people, while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while supporting learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy. The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative. You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with young people with SEN. We are ambitious for our learners and suitable applicants will possess the drive and determination to support and aspire learners to achieve.

The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the Department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position.
