A leading logistics and freight forwarding organisation, offeringfreight forwarding solutions via air, sea, and road, as well as customs clearance, warehouse & distribution & fulfilment services, is recruiting for an **Air Import Perishables Clerk**, based at offices in the **Heathrow**area.

**Working Hours**:
10 am - 10 pm shifts, 4 on, 4 off.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
The Air Import Perishables Clerk will assist the Air Freight Operations team with Import Operations by Air, from start to finish, for Perishable goods.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To arrange the importation of cargo by air
- Develop working relationships with customers.
- Liaise with all relevant internal departments with regards to shipments.
- Liaise with Airlines for BI and Shed transfers
- Arrange airline collection for transfer to ETSF
- Liaise with HMRC, Port & Plant Health and other government bodies
- Organise import clearances, PEACH entries and correct documentation relating to the movement of cargo
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Key point of contact for Air Import Perishable customers
- Liaise with overseas offices, partners, and agents
- Strong Administration and communication skills
- Providing import quotations for potential and current customer base
- Issue Invoices to customers
- Loading costs onto job record
- Self-managing and pro-active
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Reviews and addresses accounting discrepancies
- Dealing with any queries or problems with regards to customers and shipments.
- Dealing with Rates, Accounts, Invoices, and claims.
- Completing KPI reports for submission to Airfreight Manager
- Complete distribution reports and courier documentation

**To Be Considered**:

- Proven Air Import Operations experience, ideally within a perishable Air import environment
- Working experience of custom entries CCSUK /Cargowise.
- Excellent knowledge of all requirements for perishable imports, PEACH, DEFRA, PORT HEALTH.
- Flexibility, and willingness to cover shifts when required
- Experience of ETSF processes
