JOB TITLE: Construction Solicitor
PQE: 2+
LOCATION: Central London
SALARY: £60-80,00 + DOE
THE ROLE:
This leading firm has a specialist construction team that sits within its commercial real estate team. The legal work of the team includes preparing and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments and development and other stakeholder agreementsacross a wide category of work, including major infrastructure, projects, commercial, residential, industrial and charities. This is a fabulous opportunity to assist with a wide range of construction matters, acting for both commercial, institutional and privateclients. The main responsibilities will include (but not limited to) drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of industry-specific and general commercial contracts between the different parties involved in a project, acting for a variety of clients includingbuilders, property developers, architects, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, landowners and more and visiting construction sites and meeting with stakeholders periodically to monitor progress and get ahead of any future issues that may arise.
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful Construction Solicitor will have 2+ years’ PQE in in construction law, focussing primarily on non-contentious construction work along with a strong grounding in transactional construction work in the property and/or infrastructure related sectors.You should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for construction as a practice area, along with good technical knowledge and drafting skills.
