**Sales Consultant - Chinese Mandarin speaking** **Location**: Woking, GU21 5RZ **Salary**: £25,000 - £35,000, DOE **Contract**: Full Time, Permanent (following satisfactory probationary period) **Hours**: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (some flexibility within reason) **We have excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Consultant with a strong understanding of the Asia Market and background in Chemical, Scientific or Pharmaceutical Sales to join our team** We are a Norwegian company with a UK subsidiary, Chiron UK Limited. The UK workforce consists of the Deputy Director who is responsible for sales and marketing, and a further 4 members of the sales and marketing team. We are looking to add a UK based Sales Consultant to our team **Sales Consultant - The role**: We are seeking a Sales Consultant with a strong understanding of the Asia market, including its business landscape, local cultures and consumer behaviours. You will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager and work closely with the Sales Team - particularly those managing neighbouring territories - and Distributors to grow Chiron’s presence in the Asia market. Your main responsibility is to manage and develop sales across territories in the Asia market, including China/Hong Kong, Japan, and Indian subcontinent. To achieve this, you will: - Identify prospective customers and secure new business opportunities - Troubleshoot to remove barriers to sales - Produce quotations, process, and monitor orders - Seek out and participate in relevant tenders - Support and motivate existing distributors - Identify and enlist new representation - Compile reports on sales performance - Product sourcing - Contributing towards marketing ideas and concepts for your territories - Provide back-up cover for sales colleagues, as required **Sales Consultant - What we need from you**: **Essential** - Experience of selling to Asia - Bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin (written and oral) - High level of computer literacy; particularly excel - Self-motivated and ambitious individual - Result oriented with a strong focus on customer service - A quick learner and problem solver - Commercial awareness with ability to think creatively and strategically - Eligible to live and work within the UK - Chemical or pharmacological background - Experience, qualification or specific interest in one of our product sectors; Food safety, Environment, Toxicology, Petroleum **Desirable** - Knowledge of local regulations for import to China - Other Asia continent languages would be beneficial **What we offer you** In return Chiron: - Encourages continued professional development - Has motivated colleagues and an inclusive company philosophy - Provides prospects for international travel - Has a diverse product range and customer base with large growth potential - Performance related sales bonus - Company pension plan - Health and travel insurance - 25 days per year annual leave **Want to know a bit more about us?** Chiron AS provides the scientific community worldwide with sophisticated solutions for difficult chemical analysis.
