**Senior HR Advisor**

Our client is currently looking for an experienced HR professional to join their people team.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and further develop your Business and HR skills.

**Location**: Letchworth, Herts, SG6 1BL

**Hours**: Full-time or Part-time hours considered (minimum 4 days a week)

**Salary**: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

**Senior HR Advisor Duties**:

- Work with Head of People to deliver a proactive and value-added HR service to the Group
- Support and enable managers to achieve solutions to management issues within the Group
- Ensure HR issues are addressed in a timely manner. Working closely with key stakeholders, to ensure excellent service delivery
- To lead and work on HR and Strategic projects with minimum supervision from Head of People to deliver the People Strategy
- To ensure HR contracts are managed effectively
- Effective management of 1 HR apprentice
- Ability to independently carry out end to end ER case management, chairing disciplinary, grievance and performance meetings
- With a proven track record in handling numerous ER cases end to end, you will be responsible for taking a pragmatic, hands on approach advising managers on any employee related matters.
- Ensuring best practice is maintained but with a commercial and strategic focus, providing guidance and coaching where necessary to upskill managers and to provide support to all parties as required.
- You will keep abreast of all HR Legislation updates and will update their policies and procedures accordingly.
- Take part in note taking or chairing any employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances or performance management meetings as required.
- Be familiar with and consistently seek to update and enhance all company policies and procedures in alignment to the relevant employment legislation, in order to offer accurate and reliable advice for any employment matter. Acting with integrity and trustat every opportunity.
- Keep a log of all employee relations matters ensuring development of tools and templates in order to support the People function. Look for solutions and effective outcomes when handling any case. You will have the ability to work alone on cases howeveryou will escalate and update the Head of People on any matters in order to keep them informed on employee relations matters as necessary.
- Conduct Exit Interviews and track the feedback making recommendations to the Head of People as necessary.
- To work on management of change, and organisational development projects. To manage and interpret data to assist with service development and change management plans.
- Take an active interest and role in a training needs analysis for the Group and identify solutions for any training needs identified.
- To deliver workshops for managers and employees on HR topics and new initiatives
- Help build and facilitate in house training courses as required.
- To support Head of People on various HR projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives to support the People Strategy and Living Knowledge.
- To undertake reward reviews and make recommendations for change and improvements to meet business needs
- Take ownership to develop management capability in recruitment and support all processes as required.

**Senior HR Advisor Requirements**:

- CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent
- Proven generalist HR experience
- Proven successful experience of working on projects with set outcomes and timescales from an HR perspective
- Ability to demonstrate experience in all of the key role requirements, with particular reference to ER and Performance Management
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Able to demonstrate behaviour supporting organisations values
- Proficient with reporting, data analysis
- Ability to hit the ground running
