Mploy in Poole are looking for a **Commercial Manager** to join their client, who are an offsite design and build contractor in South England.
The purpose of this role is to manage the commercial performance of all projects across the business whilst ensuring that the company’s commercial process is consistently applied.
You’ll also be providing commercial support to the Project Managers & Surveyors to ensure that financial performance meets or exceeds profitability targets.
This is a management position for an individual to develop commercial opportunity on projects and within the business to achieve and exceed profitability targets. The individual should have proven experience in their ability to lead, influence and communicatewith others. Extensive experience of managing commercial contracts (JCT & NEC) with clients is essential. Demonstrable experience in the construction industry is also essential. The individual will have appropriate qualifications, and professional membershipof the RICS, CIOB or ICE is desirable. The individual will hold a valid CSCS card. You’ll have the ability to operate successfully in a commercial environment and previous experience of managing project commercial performance is essential. Commercial awarenessis required to assess margin, risk and cashflow. Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise their workload and meet deadlines.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Finance & Commercial Director in the business in fulfilling the obligations of that role
- Manage Commercial contracts with the business & clients
- Ensure that projects are managed commercially to satisfy client’s requirements
- Responsible for the commercial assurance of the projects under management
- Day to day management of the Company’s commercial team
- Working with project surveyors to ensure that subcontracts are placed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Providing commercial assurance of project margin performance
- Management of commercial performance, cashflow, margin management and commercial risk on allocated projects
- Support the project delivery team in the management of the contracts
- Ensure appropriate management of commercial risks
**What you’ll get in return**:
- Your basic salary will be £60 - 65,000/annum, depending on experience
- Annual Car allowance of £5,250
- Pension 6% matched by the Company
- Life Assurance covered for a lump sum benefit of two times your basic salary
- Holiday entitlement: 25days per annum plus Bank Holidays
- Bonus scheme up to a capped level of 10% salary based on Company profitability
- Private Health care - Following a successful 6-month probation period
