**Dog Daycare Assistant Position in Stratford London *URGENT**

This is an excellent opportunity to join Furmily - a fast-growing UK-based pet business in our Stratford East Village store. You will be helping build the most professional pet grooming service alongside the dog daycare, training, pet retail and a lovely dog cafe in one shop

**Who are we looking for?**
- Experience is ESSENTIAL. Minimum 1 year experience or relevant pet care qualification (Level 3 professional daycare and boarding or Level 3 Commercial Dog Daycare)
- The ability to understand dog behaviours is very important to us
- Someone who is positive, kind, and has a genuine love for animals is a MUST
- A great team player and quick learner who always strives for the best
- There is a lot of practical work involved in this job such as keeping the daycare clean and tidy. On our busiest days, you may also need to assist our groomers.
- Retail experience is a PLUS. You may be required to assist in-store sales and help customers with retail purchases.

**Job Role**
- We care for many dogs at a time at our daycare so it is important that you are able to work under pressure while remaining calm as certain dogs may suffer from anxiety or lack confidence
- Walking and playing with dogs will be part of your everyday routine regardless of weather conditions. You must ensure our daycare dogs get plenty of exercise and attention while in our care
- You must keep our daycare clean and maintain the safe environment we have set up here for our dogs
- Working as a team is very important at Furmily. We have people working with us from diverse backgrounds, so it is important you are able to communicate effectively while respecting the diverse cultural backgrounds of all our colleagues
- Responding promptly to unexpected emergencies or issues that may arise
- We maintain very close relationships with our daycare parents, which include sending updates and pictures/videos throughout the day. You will be expected to maintain these relationships
- You must understand various dog behaviours and body language. You must have the ability to understand the reasons for certain behaviours. For instance, barking and biting may be linked to anxiety or fear rather than aggression
- Assisting in retail operations by becoming familiar with our products and services, helping customers with purchases, and maintaining in-store displays and cleanliness
- Answering and making phone calls to handle store appointments, responding to work-related messages, and assisting with booking inquiries

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
