This Financial Accountant opportunity is joining the team of a well-established company based in Mitcham. As a fully qualified accountant you will support the delivery of the statutory financial statements and the annual audit process. You will be involvedwith the day-to-day running of the
company accounts, with the responsibility of making observations of the financial state of the organisation.
The company was established in 2006, and is a the holding company for several businesses supplying specialist construction services to the UK and international markets. Their companies have been active for more than 65 years and are proud of their strong relationshipswith multiple and diverse clients and with offices in the UK and Australia.
As Financial Accountant you will:

- Prepare month-end, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Prepare for all indirect and direct tax compliance and reporting.
- Monitor and report on accounting inconsistencies.
- Produce and disseminate monthly reports on consolidated accruals, prepayments, retentions and debtors for the business.
- Provide external auditors with general ledger information during interim and final audits.
- Support monthly accounts and report generation.
- Utilise reconciliation management to provide profit and loss insights.
- Reconcile the balance sheet and weekly cash management.
- Examine and analyse financial information.

We are keen to speak to people about this Financial Accountant opportunity with the following skills and experience:

- Fully qualified accountant with a relevant membership of a recognised professional body. i.e., ACA, ICAEW, CIMAS, ACCA or CIPFA.
- Experience of reporting under UK GAAP (FRS 102).
- Significant experience within in a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Fully conversant with modern office equipment and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of standard accounting systems and management accounts.
- Strong organisational, written and verbal reporting, numerical and analytical skills.
- A keen attention to detail whilst being able to prioritise tasks and work within agreed timeframes and resolve data errors efficiently.
- Cost and revenue analysis.
- Managing tax payments.
- Budgeting.

In return, you will receive a salary of £47,000 -£53,000 pa plus 7% pension contribution, 26 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, life and health assurance scheme.
