Are you looking for a part time role in which you’ll be the sole member of the finance team of a small but influential not for profit organisation? Do you prefer working through your own limited company where off payroll working rules (IR35) do not apply?And are you looking for a flexible role that can work around your wider circumstances?
- My client is a small not for profit organisation in South London serving its local community with a broad range of services. Owing to its grant funding coming in large payments from a small number of funders, their income is very straightforward, yet thebroad and changeable services they deliver mean their focus is often shifting according to need.

To cover a period of six-to-nine months, they are recruiting for an Interim Part Time Head of Finance with key responsibilities such as:

- Taking sole charge of Finance, having full responsibility for the function
- Reporting to the Chief Executive, ensuring that they, plus the Board and the wider senior management team, are provided with accurate financial reporting and support
- Being the point of contact liaising with the outsourced payroll and pension provider
- Managing the accounting of grant income, and ensuring suppliers are paid promptly
- Having responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and the production of final accounts
- Ensuring other department heads are provided with financial management, budgeting and forecasting support, and influencing strategic decision making with sound financial information.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work between two to three days per week, with a highly flexible arrangement, who can run a small but successful Not for Profit Finance function autonomously. Owing to the small company exemption,please note that this role is outside of the scope of IR35.

To be considered, please meet these criteria:

- Hold a full accountancy qualification, or QBE with substantial experience running a small finance department
- Have broad experience across financial accounts and management accounts, alongside expertise using Quickbooks
- Understand the challenges facing a small community-focused not for profit organisation and demonstrate relevant experience operating autonomously in a similar role
