Senior Systems Engineer Microsoft 365

Role Introduction You will be responsible for helping to support and maintain Microsoft 365 based solutions across multiple Managed Service customers in the cloud. You will also work as part of a wider team specialising in our Microsoft Office 365 services, providing support services with a particular emphasis on Microsoft 365 technologies including SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and Teams (including some telephony). Key to success will be a close-knit tribal culture of customer centric service. You will be working closely with customers and internal stakeholders on a continuous basis, providing day-to-day technical support, assisting with project delivery, and contributingto overall technical governance and leadership, technical excellence, and continual service improvement. Communication and collaboration are paramount to this role, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external business stakeholders and will be continually engaged and collaborating with our clients. This role can be based from home, or one of our UK offices. What You Will Do - Provide continuous and ongoing technical support to a variety of managed service customers (Microsoft 365 technologies). - Support, maintain and help implement Microsoft 365 and associated technologies. - Help resolve technical issues and risks to customers systems, providing appropriate technical input into the documentation and ultimate resolution of those issues. - Implement solutions which drive automation to help reduce time spent by support teams and in turn, free time to innovate and drive service improvement. - Where required, take ownership of technical investigations into complex problems, continuing to work on them until a resolution or workaround can be implemented. Provide technical input and governance to the problem and update stakeholders at regular intervalsas the technical investigation continues. - Helping to maintain and manage the Office 365 solution, including any related tools used to deliver the service. - Help maintain the Office 365 service & service health, performing regular scheduled tasks and activities. - Work with the Asset Management team where needed, helping to support the subscription management services to CSP customers. - Work with the Security Operations team where needed, helping to deliver security services related to Office 365 such as analysis of Microsoft Secure Score, integration with any customer SIEM solution and O365 audit logs etc. - Help and support engineering deliverables and other activities, in accordance with the platform roadmap and project timelines. - Work on other activities as necessary. What You Will Have - Strong ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in written form. - Experienced senior technical resource, highly motivated and capable of understanding and resolving complex technical problems. - Demonstrable previous experience of implementing and supporting large-scale Microsoft workplace environments within a managed services environment or single large enterprise. - Capability to author and update infrastructure, support, and procedural documentation. - Keen willingness to mentor others in the team and wider department on technologies within your field of expertise. - Knowledge in supporting Microsoft Office 365 with previous experience of Microsoft Teams and any of the following: Skype for Business, SharePoint, One Drive for Business, Power Platform. - Can adapt personal communication style to the style of others, develop rapport and stay calm under pressure or when escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills. - Experience of operating within a multi-supplier / SIAM support model. - Ability to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Check (SC).
